Las Vegas, NV - Jonathan Marchessault has etched his name into Vegas Golden Knights history, winning the 2023 Conn Smythe Trophy as the NHL's most valuable player during the playoffs. The 32-year-old forward played a pivotal role in leading the Golden Knights to their first-ever Stanley Cup championship, defeating the Florida Panthers in five games.

Marchessault finished the postseason with an impressive 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists), second only to teammate Jack Eichel. His offensive prowess was on full display throughout the playoffs, as he consistently made game-changing plays and contributed to the Golden Knights' high-scoring attack.

In the Conn Smythe Trophy voting, Marchessault received 17 of the first-place ballots, well ahead of the other finalists, Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar and New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin. This is the first time a Vegas Golden Knights player has won the Conn Smythe Trophy.
